East meets West

East meets West. Instant love. Their first date was on a roof-top bar in Shanghai, where they both lived at the time. They describe their first date as being kind of magical. Their love grew from there and so one day Niels popped the question and she said yes!

I personally love multi-cultural weddings, especially when the couple wants to show it in every possible way. The bride’s oriental roots showed through the Chinese porcelain vases, fortune cookies, home-made freshly-baked Chinese cookies and other traditions on the wedding day. And who doesn’t love chocolate and beer? Lucky the groom is from Belgium.

Just colourful

Ask anyone who knows them well and they will tell you their love for each other is pure and will last forever.

The groom, had just one request: Make the bride happy! The bride is the type that can do anything if she puts her heart into it, but felt more comfortable leaving her wedding details to HereWithMe. She said “not having to worry about the organisation of her wedding and knowing that even the smallest detail would be taken care of” helped her relax and enjoy her wedding day.

She was however, the captain when it came to setting the colour theme.  The bride knew exactly how she wanted her wedding to look like. She loves colour and wanted her wedding flowers to look like she had gone to a field, cut a handful of different flowers and just put them together in a bunch. So we used seasonal wild and garden flowers, as well as beautiful peonies, which gave an elegant touch.

The weather may not have been ideal, considering that we had to move everything indoors. She was super unlucky, considering rain in Limassol is something we rarely experience, but she didn’t care because she knew that she was lucky enough to get married to the man she loves and that loves her back no matter what!

With a Touch of Red

When cultures meet, this is the result. The couple decided to have their wedding in the groom’s hometown, Limassol. They trusted Here With Me for the coordination of their special day.

Being Chinese, the beautiful bride’s only condition was that the wedding should have Chinese elements. Red was the colour of her choice and peonies were the main flowers featured.

The ceremony took place at the wooden St. George chapel within the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol. While the chapel is somehow different than typical Christian chapels, it still had a very traditional feel to it. The setting was beautiful and the ceremony was very intimate.  After the ceremony, friends and family gathered around the chapel for a glass of bubbly, before moving to the ballroom for a gourmet dinner followed by dancing until the early hours.
